Titre :
Large scale testing in seismic engineering Safety evaluation, development of behavioural model, news materials and systems

Résumé :
The use of large scale seismic test for safety evaluation, precise determination of limit states for fragility analyses, development of behavioural models, characterisation of news materials and structural systems will be described. Example of pseudo dynamic tests on a full scale two storey frame structure, sub-structure tests on a 1/3 scale of a highway bridge, and cyclic tests on real size bridge piers, masonry walls and seismic rubber isolator will be presented. Problems in testing procedure and instrumentation will be highlighted. In view of the new testing facility at the University Grenoble Alpes (see picture).
